Paula Dias and Idalécio Filipe represented Hycarb at Viseu Defence Tech 2025, a conference of great relevance for the defence sector, which brought together experts, government officials, academia, and companies to reflect on the future of the defence industry in Portugal and Europe. Hycarb’s participation is part of the ongoing commitment to technological innovation and strengthening capabilities in strategic areas with European Union and NATO partners.
This initiative by the Município de Viseu, in partnership with Exército Português and idD Portugal Defence, deserves special recognition, with congratulations addressed to all entities involved, for the excellent coordination and the collaborative environment created. Viseu Defence Tech 2025 addressed current and relevant topics related to defence, industry and territory, providing knowledge-rich sessions, with interventions from highly qualified and inspiring participants, such as Pedro Lousã from Beyond Vision, Andrea Compagnoni from Acme3 (AcmeCubo), João Gabriel Silva from Instituto Pedro Nunes, and Alexandre Alves from Airways Aviation.
Hycarb was a signatory of the “Declaração de Viseu pela Indústria da Defesa – Grupo de Trabalho”, assuming its commitment to the development of technological solutions in the service of national security and competitiveness, and will continue to have an active presence in relevant forums in the defence area: Portuguese Army Week 2025 and Artex 2026.
